Had the best lunch here. We always enjoy the the service and food. This time they surpassed expectations for both. We showed up at 2:20 (not even thinking about them closing down as they do before dinner). We felt bad after ordering and realizing they closed in 10 minutes. Food amazing and their service was superb never felt rushed or that we had inconvenienced them. Great place we will be back. Thank you

This is one of the best sushi places I have ever eaten at and I eat sushi a lot. They have some very unique choices along with your standard rolls you would find at most joints. A+ in my book

Fantastic Lunch Bento Specials

They take a break Monday through Saturday from 2:30-5 pm. Their food is amazing and I highly recommend it. I always get the beef fried rice and the pink lady sushi.

The best sushi I've ever had! Wait staff was very nice despite us coming in during their last hour before close. Waiter patiently answered my various questions about the rolls and offered to modify them to accommodate my celiac disease. I will be returning! :)

Nothing special except the selection. Plenty of choices. Not a personal experience. This seems like a business just beginning. I wish them luck. All employees are legitimate and professional in my several visits.

We went here for Dine-in tonight. I’m so glad to see business owners like this open their business instead of living in fear! The sushi here was a little pricier than some of the other sushi places in the area, but quality definitely matched the price point! The salmon and the yellowtail were both above average cuts of meat! I had the nigiri special. It was 6 pieces of nigiri (chef’s choice) a single roll (California or spicy tuna) for $15-16 and added a yellowtail roll for like $6.. my wife ordered the cowboy roll and the orange blossom roll.. she loved the cowboy roll but my favorite overall was actually her orange blossom roll! The nigiri was awesome too! Oh and we both started with miso soups (best miso I’ve had in a long time!) And a house salad which was also delicious! Needless to say we brought a lot home lol.. can’t wait for a midnight snack of nigiri! Sorry I forgot to get a picture until we were halfway through the meal..

One of the best sushis I've ever had. I ordered the volcano and they bring out the dish with a live flame! The flavor was outstanding.

Great place! Awesome sushi they have a wide selection to choose from. Sushi roll plated are between 8-14$ useually. Try the Tornado or Mean Green! Friendly staff.

Since a change of ownership, the quality of their food and staff has really improved. There are lots of reasonable priced lunch menu items.It’s the best sushi restaurant in Denton! I’m definelty coming back!

This is our default sushi joint. Food is constantly good and fairly priced. They don't yell at you when you come in like some sushi places, which I kinda miss. But I usually just call my dad before I walk in and have him yell at me over what a disappointment I am. Then my meal goes swimmingly.

Amazing food, amazing atmosphere! When I ordered some fried rice I was expecting a small serving like most other places, but they brought me a plate so big I couldn't finish it! I will definitely eat here again!

I dine in this place quite a bit! This is the best place to have a bite. I go there many times. The meals are fantastic, the crew is helpful and the prices are affordable. I like going in this spot over a decent lunch.

Recently ordered a LOT of sushi, appetizers, and fried rice from this place for the first time and it did not disappoint!! It was all so incredibly delicious and well put together. I’ll definitely be eating here again in the future :)

This spot is my favored. I go to a lot of restaurants but here I keep coming back again and again. The crew is very amicable and the cuisine they cook is so yummy. I am always happy to have a decent dinner here. Highly recommended.

J Sushi is our go-to sushi restaurant in Denton. We love celebrating birthdays and anniversaries there. The food is always beautiful and delicious, and the service is outstanding! We love the Spicy Tuna Nachos, Wow Roll and Volcano Roll. So filling and yummo!! We highly recommend J Sushi!!

I went here for lunch with my dad. The sushi was amazing and was exactly what I wanted. With that the aroma was nice and the staff was nicer.It left me full and I would go again.

The waiter was really nice . The food was great. The Atmosphere romantic and relaxing. The place super clean ! It was not crowded and the food arrived at the table in whiten minutes !

To my surprise, this restaurant has an amazing menu. Came in for lunch on a weekday and it wasn't super crowded. The food quality is fresh and well prepared. They offer a Bento option for those that do not like sushi. They have rolls with no nice, great options for the lower carb options. Definitely coming back.

I've been coming here for years and have always had a wonderful experience. I always sit at the bar right in front of the sushi chef and he is very entertaining and professional. The sashimi is always extremely fresh. C sushi tower is very good and usually what I get if I don't get the volcano roll. Very cozy atmosphere and clean place. Outstanding staff. Must visit.

Amazing. We stopped there for dinner tonight. We ordered a bunch of rolls (avocado, California, cucumber), a chirashi (bowl of sushi rice with salmon sashimi), and a j-boat (had assorted sushi, with sashimi, and a roll). The fish was simply fresh. It was delicious to taste the salmon and tuna and know it tasted new and "fresh off the boat". Not to mention, the price was great, since there's a Groupon for it recently. The ginger dressing for the salad was top notch. I am a sushi affecianado and this is in the top 3 of sushi places we have experienced. We will go here again, and again, and again!

My wife and I love eating here. It has become our go-to sushi joint. We like to change it up quite a bit, but I do always get the fried avocado. It is a great appetizer and is hard to find elsewhere. There are menu options besides sushi for those who aren't a fan. They do have traditional fried rice and teriyaki combo plates available, and are just as delicious.

Tried J Sushi tonight for the first time and we were very satisfied with their food and service. Everything was promptly brought out and it all tasted delicious. Will definitely be back. Looks like they do a lot of take out too which is also great for us!

Yellowfin tuna sushi tasted like what a minnow smells like...if it's not fresh then don't sell it!! Chicken fried rice was mediocre the chicken was cooked nicely, the rice was not the texture you get from a hibachi, it was wet and had a porrage consistency. This was a Wednesday at noon, waitress was lucky she didn't ask how we liked our meal or I would of told her. In other words..waitstaff does not care one way or another and it shows. Overpriced, underwhelmed & after 2 times I'm not going back.

I just had the best "San Antonio Roll" in Denton. I just showed them a photo of the roll I wanted. It tasted amazing! The egg rolls were great as well. The waiters were super kind and helpful.

Decent sushi spot. Easy and quick to get in and seated. We have been a few times and the rolls usually come quick. They have quite a selection of rolls, sashimi, etc and are good quality. Staff while attentive aren't overly friendly and you almost feel a bit rushed while there. That's no problem for lunch when you have limited time but not as relaxed as I would like for dinner. Worth a try of you are down 288 and crave sushi.

I dine in this lovely place from time to time! This is my favorite spot to eat. I visit this spot frequently. The food is very good, the staff is polite and the cost is fair. I like meeting in this spot to have a nice dinner.

We went out to J Sushi for an anniversary lunch. The place had adequate space with no wait to be seated. The staff was attentive and our order came out perfect. The decorations aren't cluttered and the clever blinds and light fixtures are beautiful. We have been here before and we will happily go again. Thank you.

We had the California roll, spicy crunchy roll and the tuna and salmon sushi. It was amazing. Cold and fresh!!😁👍🏻
